Canon Character Information
Appearance: A young woman looking to be in her teens, Seth is a little under average height with black hair kept in a bob cut that always seems a little messy. She has very light/fair skin and is most recognizable for the fact that her eyes are a vibrant jade color. Known to be primarily in dresses and generally if not in her attire as empress leans towards clothing that's cute but functional.

The events of her canon come into play. During the events of ROM 3 Seth finally shows as both the empress and herself.
Following the Imperial Decree of the Empress one of her nobles went to the Vatican to extend a branch of peace to them, Ion Fortuna with his childhood friend Radu Barvon. Shortly before Ion had been chosen to be the Empire's diplomat Radu joined the terrorist organization of the Rosencruez Orden. Ultimately it fell upon Radu to attempt to sabotage the meeting between Ion and Cardinal Sforza by making it appear as though they had killed each other. Due to the Vatican he fails and ultimately dies. Abel and Esther end up joining Ion on the return back to the Empire to share the Cardinal's response to the attempt of peace. At that time a human in the Orden by name of Dietrich ends up taking Radu's corpse and reanimating it to suit his purposes.
When Ion arrives back in the capital of Byzantium he attempts to return to his grandmother Mirka's palace. Instead he finds unknown forces in there killing anything in the mansion. As he makes his way to Mirka's room he finds her presumably in bed about to be attacked. He attempts to lash out but it ultimately foiled by an explosion. As he is thrown outside and reunited with Abel and Esther the Yenciri appear and at that point the head of the palace guard accuses Ion of the murder of Mirka Fortuna. With the unknown soldiers gone or burnt to the same degree everything else in the manner was they had no way to contest it. Ion attempts to fight Baybars and easily loses. Thanks yo Abel's quick thinking they manage to escape and meet up with an old friend of his, Astharoshe Asran who puts them up. The band is left to try and figure out who is framing Ion and who would kill his grandmother.
Eventually it leads to Ion and Esther heading to the terran district of the city for information. This is the first time Seth shows up. After teasing the two and poking fun at Ion's crush on Esther she informs them that she can guide them to a terran whom was rather close and knowledgeable. A man whom may have had contact with Mirka the same day she died. What information they uncover is that somehow, Radu had returned to the capital. Despite witnessing him die they were informed that he was on his way to the meeting among nobles about the death of Mirka. Before they can get more information the man they were speaking to dies and they are soon attacked by the same unknown soldiers. While they manage to defeat the creature Esther ends up terribly wounded. Ion panics and at that moment Seth appears in the window and offers her help. Medical expertise keeps Ester from dying or bleeding out. Ion during the conversation becomes slightly intimidated by her and demands to know who she is. Her response is that she's just a simple pretty girl passing by.
Seth lets Esther recover in her home where she proceeds to tease the two further once she wakes up. At that point she remarks about how it's certainly illegal for a terran and methuselah to date. It goes against imperial law. Shortly after she mentions that she has her tea-selling as a side-job instead of solely attending school which is also breaking the law. Before Ion can start to go off on a tangent she suggests he should go get them food. When he begins to protest she reminds him if that's the case he can undress Esther, clean her bandages and bathe her. Overly flustered Ion ends up leaving and the two girls end up having a discussion about the Empire. In it Seth points out that because the Empress is above both races does that not make the races equal beneath her. Esther realizes that that has a problem. If anything should happen to the Empress or she even changes her mind the coexistence will fall apart. Suffice to say Seth praises the other for her wit. Before their discussion can continue further they're under attack once more. Esther attempts to grab her shotgun but it thrown back. Before she falls unconscious she tries to tell Seth to run and realizes that her ears are ringing. As it turns out once Esther passed out Seth used her crusnik to turn the creatures into dust using her "flames of sound".
Seth doesn't appear again until the funeral procession for Mirka on the Isle of Her Beloved Children, where all nobles shall be attending including the Empress. The band of heroes start running into a few bumps along the way. Ion runs off on his own despite being a wanted man. Astharoshe and Abel attempt to meet with the highest living ranked noble and head of the funeral arrangements, Suleyman. At that meeting Suleyman reveals that he was part of the band to overthrow the Empress and Mirka's death. He attempts to murder them but they manage to escape with their lives. Seth ends up heading to Mirka's mausoleum with Esther tagging along. There they discover that it had was rigged to explode. Before they can escape with the information they are attacked by two of the same creatures that had been chasing them before. Seth easily defeats them and forces Esther to run. When Suleyman attempts to give chase Seth manages to stop them thus prompting a short banter. That she has such speed and strength, surely she must be methuselah. She remarks that it's not true. As they clash she ends up pushed up to the edge of a cliff. Ultimately she's knocked off the cliff to what would surely be death for even a methuselah.
Events continue to spiral out of control. Come morning it is believed that the Empress perished in Mirka's mausoleum through the explosion. Ion has yet to clear his name and now a summit has been arranged to try and figure out how the empire can move on without the Empress. Ion and Esther are held captive below the palace where Dietrich, using Radu's body, attempts to get them to kill each other through forcing Ion to need to feed on Esther and giving her a silver knife. Deep in the canals beneath the palace Astharoshe and Abel are mounting a rescue. It is only thanks to the palace guards that they manage to escape. Astharoshe to go to the gathering and Abel to go save their friends. at that time Suleyman is prompting the nobles to consider the reality. The Empress is dead. They must move on and select someone to carry her will.
Before his plans can reach fruition it all starts to fall apart. Astharoshe storms in and accuses him of treason. She prompts that Ion and Esther shall be her witnesses. He informs her that it is unfortunate but they killed each other. They manage to walk in and Ion demands that Suleyman do the right thing and admit to his crimes of murder. As it starts to head towards violence one person demands they stop. The Empress. As everyone falls silent the empress walks out, She explains that she knew from the start that her attempt of peace with the Vatican would result in this. That she was using Ion to shake the vipers from their home. She points out to Suleyman in particular that she is filled with sorrow over him trying to murder her. At that moment he protests saying he never used a bomb to kill her. At that moment another figure walks out, one dressed in the same style as the empress. A body double. That double is Mirka Fortuna. With all of his plans amounting to nothing suleyman continues to protest his own innocence. At that moment she removes the veil which had kept her identity secret for eight centuries. She tells him that when he pointed the ring of solomon at her even she felt a chill. Every noble was stunned silent because she looked too young to be the empress but not one person could protest it. Ion and Esther clearly had more dramatic and confused reactions.
With her expressed sorrow she prompts him to speak to her. If he has any more to say he should say it now. In anger he proceeds to tell her there has never been anyone she trusts. Not any child. Not a single subject. In anger and one last attempt he goes to use the ring of solomon against her. While everyone moves to try and stop only one person manages to strike. Astharoshe uses her spear to destroy his heart while Suleyman misses Seth. While he lay dying on the floor she goes to comfort him, cradling him like a mother does a child. In his last moments he informs her that a son always loves their parent and that he hates her. He tries to use his last moments to figure out who she is only to die before she answers. Resting him upon the floor things continue on as she thanks the nobles for their duty and commends Astharoshe and Ion. At that time she ask Esther what of the other who came with her. She also hears that a boy from the Orden is controlling Radu's body. She hurries off to another part of her palace and demands Mirka take care of things in there and for Astharoshe to come with her.
Within a hidden room of her palace she has access to the Ark, a weapon capable of leveling cities. Dietrich is within that room hacking it so he can have access to it. Abel arrives before Seth and fights with him. He shatters the heart and expects that to be the end however Dietrich mad extensive modifications to the body allowing him to revive it. Abel fails to continue the fight and just before being finished off Seth and the others appear. Astharoshe is knocked unconscious quickly and before he can strike down Esther, Seth steps in. She chides Dietrich and informs him that he can run or stay and fight her. He attempts to slay her only for his attempt to repelled with ease. She uses her crusnik to destroy the body, turning it into a pile of ash with her crusnik. She warns him as well that he will pay. She will hunt him to ends of the earth to exact her revenge. Once the Orden boy was dealt with she goes over to Esther and Abel and asks if she can speak with him and if she could take care of Astharoshe. As Esther goes to make sure the other is okay she and Abel finally have their reunion. The empress who ruled for eight hundred years, not once did he doubt it was her. She remarks that he looks terrible and it hurts looking at her. She finally calls him by what he is, her big brother.
In light of the events they continue planning real funeral proceedings for Suleyman and Radu. Once it's said and done everyone is saying their goodbyes. Abel and Seth take that moment to speak in private on the pier. Seth asks him to stay. They can be a family. She gets lonely in the Empire. Abel rejects her and for a moment she's furious and strikes the ship close to them. Her anger disappears as quickly as it came because she points out one horrible truth. Their brother, Cain, is alive. Rather the crusnik 01 had repaired his body enough to allow him to be a threat. Tension builds and she has to ask what Abel will do and he tells her that he will hunt him down. Regretfully, she watches him and Esther leave the capital and she has to return to her duties as the Empress.

Personality:
There are two very important things to remember when one speaks of Seth Nightlord. One is that she would like people to believe her to be a simple girl and the other is that she is an old Empress. She is not a person who is enthralled by someone finding out about both sides of her life or even hinting at the idea that she's more then a simple girl. And as she has two rather different life styles going on it is important to realize that it also makes her as a person a bit more unpredictable and questionable. It often means her reaction to something can be a simple brush off, a strong curse or threat, or just a laugh and joke. The thing is that no one ever really knows with her.

Seth, as a girl, is more then a bit eccentric. She can come off as selfish and immature in such a way that she will completely dismiss someone trying to scold or correct her. When someone attempts to correct her she will use whatever means she sees fit to change the subject. Most often it's something sarcastic or witty but there are times when it's something that's just plain silly. She isn't above pointing out someone's growling stomach, pushing buttons or making herself out to be superior to get others to give up on a subject. While some might say her sarcastic commentary to be a little cruel and unusual she normally does so in good fun. In the case that someone brings a subject that's troubling them to her it is possible for her to show sympathy. Cases that involve central points or interests in her life will absolutely earn her interest or concern.

Seth is the kind of person that enjoys a bit of occasional gossip. The gossip she gets the most interested in is the kind that involves her Empire or the Outer. Gossip can give her advantages she can use as the Empress Augusta Vradica. After all, at the end of the day she is much more then a simple girl. Before explaining just who she is as the Empress it's important to know who she is to the people she rules. When one is asked to describe the Empress, she's best described by one of her followers. "She was there in the past, is here in the present and will be there in the future, so that out Empire will continue forever." She is the heart of the Empire, it's pillar, it's founder. It might not be a far cry to say that she is the embodiment of the Empire.

While she rules the Empress, she has a certain mixture of love and protection that shows signs of being disconnected from her subjects. She does have a great deal of compassion for her subjects, especially the Methuselah. She goes so far as to call those of that race in the Empire "her children". Despite the compassion she carries for them, she so rarely makes herself available for the public or even private meetings. What meetings she does attend she has veil that hides her face and a device to disguise her voice, making it impossible to know whose truly running the Empire. From the outside looking in it may seem like such an act is cheapening her affection for her subjects. Were push to come to shove however she will take down anyone who dares to harm her subjects or her home. As she states when she found Dietrich to be the one that she will hunt him and the people he works with to the ends of the earth to get revenge for what happened to her subjects.

There are a few traits she holds onto regardless of what lifestyle or position that she's in. She is hardly a person whose quick to trust others despite often offering a bit of a friendly impression. She will lie however and say that she does trust them and expect a certain measure of trust back. In reality many of the people she says she trusts, she keeps countless secrets from. As both the Empress and a girl, Seth is always confident. She is very confident in her abilities, her knowledge, her rule and her Empire. Along with confidence she is no doubt, a strong person. She established a kingdom from a dead land after having lost the few central people in her life who comforted her as a child. She did lose her family but she gained a land that became filled with subjects that respected her and her rule.

There are a few darker sides to Seth. No one is free from guilt, sin or hatred. Seth is often a little more distant or aloof to humans. Due to having been raised in an environment where humans hated her and her siblings, she can be a bit more protective of her secrets and prone to more dishonesty though that's not quite as race-based. The biggest sign that she doesn't entirely forgive humanity for what they did in her youth is shown by how she runs her kingdom. In the Empire, humans are really more akin to second-class citizens. They can go to colleges, sure, they can own land and many other things, but they are always below the Methuselah. There isn't a single human noble and it's safe to say that it's because of Seth's influence and desire to keep them at the bottom. She believes that humans, with their short lives, are prone to be much more selfish then a Methuselah.

But there are a very, very few people that she confides her weaknesses or extensive knowledge of her beliefs in. The first person is the highest ranking noble in the Empire, Mirka Fortuna. Mirka is the only person who knows of their Empress's past, enough to be able to tell figure out who Abel is by look and interaction. The second person is Abel, her brother. After the betrayal of Suleyman, she expresses to Abel that she feels lonely and wants him to stay. She offers the chance for a life that's closer to normal. A sign that despite not seeing him for eight hundred years, she still thinks dearly of him. When he rejects the offer to stay she becomes to enraged that she punches the closest object to her. Abel may also be the only person she still respects enough for his opinion or wishes to matter as she calms down and ends up watching him leave in silence.

And so she is a leader when she needs to be but prefers to be an immature girl if possible. She carries her eccentric behavior around without concern for how people are judging her for it. She isn't the person who trusts people without question or follows without doubt. She is a protector of that which matters to her but very picky on what matters to her. There is weakness and old wounds from youth. She will stick to beliefs even if wrong and will stubbornly defend them. At the end of the day Seth is a very, very far cry from her typical saying of "I'm just a simple pretty girl." She is far more intricate then she will let others believe.

Powers/Abilities/Talents: Seth is what's known as crusnik. To bullet-point some of the extra stuff that's been shown to be canon that comes with being a crusnik.
- Regenration of nearly any limb of organ, seemingly as long as the host still has their brain they can regen nearly half of their body. On that note it isn't always done by merely reforming from the point of damage. It has been doing through their blood consuming itself and whatever is left scattered around of their body. Then the body manages to reshape back to its normal form.
-Speaking of the blood being capable of weird things, their blood is black and has been shown to form tiny mouths to consume itself so it can attach to the host or get their prey if something like getting shot by a tank were to happen.
-Flight. Only usable when nanomachine activation is high enough for wings to show (which seems to be a slightly varying percent)
-Telepathic abilities. This is only shown once and likely only works between a crusnik and a methuselah as it's something to do with the corresponding nanomachines.
-Mouth hands. While normal to feed with their mouth a crusnik can form small mouths on their palms to ingest their food/prey.
-Immune to aging. Although Seth has been said to have a regal look to her face that doesn't fit her age, she and her brothers haven't aged in over 900 years.
-Enhanced genetics. Seth was a test-tube baby designed to be able to surpass the normal human in terms of strength, endurance, stamina, and just about everything else (minus aging) as part of the colony project.
-Military background. Given that there was a martian civil war Seth is able to fight with a variety of weapons from short swords to pistols.

AU/CR AU Addendum: n/a

What 4 items would you like your character to have with them on the island during their stay? 1 elaborate dress, 1 tea set, a family photo and ring of solomon*

*the ring of solomon is a weapon of lost technology. The short version of what it does is that it creates a blast by pressurizing the air in a 5-6 foot radius. If it needs to have the power removed that's a-okay.

[ Seth never ran into moments in her life that left her truly questioning the why's or what's. Uncertainty was a rare feeling and the longer she sat around on her thumbs doing nothing the worse the feeling was. Torn from her Empire she was not sure what she could do. Too many people for her to consider flying off. She noticed even the cloak of night was not going to allow her much. It left her stuck on the streets musing over what to do.  ]

Well...I don't think he's going to be around this place or any of his lackeys. [ a small bonus as she could only try and sort out her thoughts by echoing them out loud. If she had Mirka it would be better but the silence of the night would have to suffice. ]  I wonder if Mirka can hold things in the meantime. She's a clever one at least.

[ Looks like she had nothing to do but wait it out. Maybe she could coax a few people into helping her out. Surely it wouldn't be hard for her to trick a couple of them. ]

Third Person:
It was bright outside or rather, outside the protective barrier around the city it was bright. It must have been close to noon despite the city still looking as thought it was dusk. Everything was quiet. In the Empire it was night for it's citizens and they had retired to rest or were busy with their own private affairs. Seth sat at the docks and looked out the sea. She watched the waves ebb and flow. She didn't know why she bothered to sit at the docks and stare out like she was doing. No one was coming back for her. Abel had left. He wouldn't come back. No, he wasn't going to do so unless Cain showed up. If Cain showed up himself...she had to wonder if she could defeat him. There were her subjects who would try to aid her but she knew at the end of the day, should such a sight come to pass, they would be a liability. It was a reality that she feared she would come to face sooner rather then later. She wondered would Cain and Abel simply eliminate each other. Would it leave her as the sole crusnik left? It seemed as though the certainty she had built up over the centuries and all the comfort from it was disturbed. Maybe it was even beginning to slip away. With recent events she wouldn't be able to lie and take part of her Empire as a normal civilian. The Empire knew her face now. She was not the faceless, unknown woman who looked out over the Empire. People knew her looks. They would be able to see her coming. It was frustrating to remember but it seemed a necessity.

The sound of heels clicking on the cement crept up behind her. It wasn't an entourage. It was just one person. She looked over her shoulder at the person who approached her. The blonde woman was her closest friend and highest ranking noble, Mirka Fortuna. The Duchess smiled and bowed to her. "Your Majesty." Seth rose to her feet and dusted herself off. Not that she was particularly dirty. It was an odd habit she developed through her life. "I suppose it's about time to get back to running the Empire. Do we have any word of the location of the Countess of Babylon?" She walked past the duchess who started to follow behind her. Once more she glanced behind her at Mirka while they walked.

"We haven't heard anything. Perhaps due to the Duke's betrayal she has fled. Even if she wasn't involved with his plot she is family to the man who sought to not only overthrow but take your life." Seth's pace slowed at the last line. Suleyman didn't seem to believe her when she had expressed her sorrow in his betrayal, about how she had such hope for him. Now that she knew Cain was around having him around would have made her ability to form a plan much easier. She clasped her hands together behind her back and picked her pace up again. She had to work around the loss of him and Radu. It was that simple. "If it is her choice to flee, let her. Unlike others who have fled, she isn't doing so because there's blood on her hands. Besides, they won't make a move again soon. He may be bold but he isn't that stupid. What has the Duchess of Kiev and your grandson been doing? I may request a few odd jobs of them." With obvious curiosity Mirka picked up her speed and walked alongside Seth. She looked at the noble woman with a grin. "I want to go investigate a few cities personally. I want the Duchess to come with. Meanwhile I think it would be a good time for Ion to a post outside of the capital as well, don't you think? Get him a little bit more experienced and better behaved with others. He has to grow up and be a man someday."

The pair smiled and laughed as they traded a few verbal jabs about some of the younger nobles. Seth came to a stop and looked at the palace. There was nowhere from the city it wasn't visible. Her home. It was her home. Her pretty but empty home. "Why don't you run ahead and let them know of the tasks I have planned for them. I'm going to walk around for a bit longer. Stretch my legs." "As you wish, your majesty." Mirka gave her one last friendly smile and formal bow before she headed off her way. Seth found a local business and climb up the fire escape ladder on the side. She climbed her way to the roof and from it she looked over the city. The capital of her Empire. It was strong. It was protected. It held a good portion of her children. All of her research was hidden away in the palace as well. She took a seat on the edge of the roof and swung her legs idly. She could protect it. She could forge bonds that would help fill the occasional pit of loneliness she felt. It was possible. She would manage. She had survived over nine hundred years. The next however many centuries would not be so terrible
